Today we held our Red Sands Event at the State House. Thank you to my colleagues, advocates and a special thank you to Ashley Boyer for attending and bringing awareness to human trafficking. Events like the ours today are important in bringing awareness to such an important issue. Also today, following our Red Sands Event a number bills to help in the fight against human trafficking will be heard in the Assembly Homeland Security and State Preparedness committee. My bill, A493 was signed into law. Cybersecurity is a critical component of our state’s infrastructure and this legislation will allow for our state to better access cybersecurity threats and protect our residents.

Today we celebrate the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women. Also, we raise awareness for gender parity. So many strong women have fought and continue to fight for equality and today we take the extra time to celebrate them. Happy International Women’s Day!
